Bokor Highland resort in Kompot province.

Bokor Highland Resort is located in Kampot province. It shares a border with Vietnam to the east and extends into the Gulf of Thailand in the south. The resort is a modern Khmer integrated resort nested on the highland plateau of the historic Bokor Mountain.

32 kilometers and 1,101 meters up from road 3 near Kampot, is the Bokor Mountain Hill Station, in Bokor National Park.  Originally a small resort town, it is now an abandoned ghost town and National Park.  Except for the many tourist and Park personnel, and a few hundred construction workers that is.  Most famous for the abandoned Casino at the top of the mountain, there is also a church, buildings for the former king, and either a view of fog.

A paradise that was once the playground of the social elites and the Royalties. Bokor Highland Resort is the only highland integrated resort in the Greater Mekong region! The impressive build-up of 60,388 square meters at 1075 meters above sea level is blessed with stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand.

A virgin rainforest with exotic and rich flora and fauna and with an all year round cooling mountain climate of just 20 degrees. The best time to visit is between November to February when it is the coolest as the temperature can drop to the mid tens in the evening.

It is essentially a cool, inviting and stunningly beautiful paradise in Cambodia! Bokor Mountain comes into full play when the mist descends and being able to touch the clouds is simply magical. Specially the waterfall there is so amazing.

Rattanak Kiri province in Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder.

Rattanak Kiri is the province
in the country's far north-eastern corner has got a lot to offer the more adventurous tourist. The jungles and forests make the destination for the ecologically-minded traveler. We can trek the highlands on elephant-back and beat a track on foot to visit local hill-tribe villages; watch miners dig up glittering gemstones from the ground; explore waterfalls and take a dip in a crystal clear lake.

People traveling from Phnom Penh can fly straight to the provincial capital Banlung or travel up the Mekong River by boat. The boat stops in the neighboring province of Stung Treng, where taxis and pick-up trucks are available for the drive to Banlung city of Rattanak Kiri.

Some of the minority Tompoun, Kreung and Charay tribes-people have moved to Banlung, the small town they share with the local Khmer people. Its people are generally very helpful and friendly - they've welcomed enough tourists in recent years to know that foreigners mean business and income. Hotel accommodation is relatively inexpensive, ranging from US$5 to US$15 a night. Banlung also has several good restaurants with extensive menus.

There are many tourist place to travel at Rattanak Kiri, Beung Konseng located North of Banlong city which is said to have several magic properties. And the stunning Yeak Loam volcanic lake also has a lot to offer. Veal Thmor Rom Phlong  is a popular open field about 3 km from the Ochom power station, where local people go to see and be seen in the evenings. The air is constantly cool here - it feels a little like being in a huge open-air auditorium.
