Bokor Highland resort in Kompot province.

Bokor Highland Resort is located in Kampot province. It shares a border with Vietnam to the east and extends into the Gulf of Thailand in the south. The resort is a modern Khmer integrated resort nested on the highland plateau of the historic Bokor Mountain.

32 kilometers and 1,101 meters up from road 3 near Kampot, is the Bokor Mountain Hill Station, in Bokor National Park.  Originally a small resort town, it is now an abandoned ghost town and National Park.  Except for the many tourist and Park personnel, and a few hundred construction workers that is.  Most famous for the abandoned Casino at the top of the mountain, there is also a church, buildings for the former king, and either a view of fog.

A paradise that was once the playground of the social elites and the Royalties. Bokor Highland Resort is the only highland integrated resort in the Greater Mekong region! The impressive build-up of 60,388 square meters at 1075 meters above sea level is blessed with stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand.

A virgin rainforest with exotic and rich flora and fauna and with an all year round cooling mountain climate of just 20 degrees. The best time to visit is between November to February when it is the coolest as the temperature can drop to the mid tens in the evening.

It is essentially a cool, inviting and stunningly beautiful paradise in Cambodia! Bokor Mountain comes into full play when the mist descends and being able to touch the clouds is simply magical. Specially the waterfall there is so amazing.

Kirirom national park and Chambok waterfall in Cambodia.

Kirirom namely"Mountain of joy"by the King at the suggestion of a monk from Phnom Penh. A hill of 700m covers an area of 35,000 hectares. It is located 112 km from Phnom Penh off National Highway #4 on the road to Sihanoukville. The natural resort is decorated with many categories of pines imported from Japan. Park rangers charge foreigners a 20,000 riel (=$5) entrance fee.

The area is suitable for a day trip from Phnom Penh, but it is also possible to arrange accommodation. Near the main entrance is the rather expensive Kirirom Hillside Resort. A cheaper and friendlier option is the Chambok Ecotourism Site, a successful and sustainable community project.

Chambok Ecotourism site is just next to the Kirirom National Park. Be prepared for some exercise (4 km trek), interaction with local villagers, and discovery of Cambodia's unique natural biodiversity. Rattanak Kiri province in Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder.

Rattanak Kiri is the province
in the country's far north-eastern corner has got a lot to offer the more adventurous tourist. The jungles and forests make the destination for the ecologically-minded traveler. We can trek the highlands on elephant-back and beat a track on foot to visit local hill-tribe villages; watch miners dig up glittering gemstones from the ground; explore waterfalls and take a dip in a crystal clear lake.

People traveling from Phnom Penh can fly straight to the provincial capital Banlung or travel up the Mekong River by boat. The boat stops in the neighboring province of Stung Treng, where taxis and pick-up trucks are available for the drive to Banlung city of Rattanak Kiri.

Some of the minority Tompoun, Kreung and Charay tribes-people have moved to Banlung, the small town they share with the local Khmer people. Its people are generally very helpful and friendly - they've welcomed enough tourists in recent years to know that foreigners mean business and income. Hotel accommodation is relatively inexpensive, ranging from US$5 to US$15 a night. Banlung also has several good restaurants with extensive menus.

There are many tourist place to travel at Rattanak Kiri, Beung Konseng located North of Banlong city which is said to have several magic properties. And the stunning Yeak Loam volcanic lake also has a lot to offer. Veal Thmor Rom Phlong  is a popular open field about 3 km from the Ochom power station, where local people go to see and be seen in the evenings. The air is constantly cool here - it feels a little like being in a huge open-air auditorium.

Koh Ta Kiev (locate in Sihanoukville,Cambodia)

Only an hour away from mainland, Koh Ta Kiev is one of the closest islands to Sihaoukville and is on the itinerary of many of the day trips and island tours that leave from there. Very few people stay overnight on island, though, which is a shame because it's beautiful and has a few easily accessible beaches.

Like most of the islands in Cambodia,Koh Ta Kiev has been leased to a foreign company  the same French outfit that owns, or has taken 99-year leases, on half of Koh Russei and parts of Ream National Park.

They have ambitious plans for high-end resorts and boutique luxury hotels, although they haven't started developing the island yet. They have, however, prevented any additional businesses from opening on the island leaving the two current residents, Koh Ta Kiev Resort and Ten 103 Treehouse Bay, in relatively secluded calm.
